From March 7 to 15, 2026, Nairobi Design Week returns for a new inspiring edition placed under the theme “Be Human – Let’s be Human”. This festival is the great event of contemporary African design, bringing together artisans, designers, architects, creatives and thinkers from all horizons. Between talks, exhibitions, workshops and collaborations, the event explores design as a language of social connection and cultural transformation. The theme “Be Human” invites to put empathy, creativity and connection back at the center of the creative process—to design for and with people, in all their diversity. Nairobi Design Week 2026 celebrates the idea that each creation carries a human story, mixing memories, hopes and shared imaginations. It is an invitation to live design as a collective practice, sincere and deeply rooted in human experience. The calls for participation for exhibitors, partners and teams are open until November 29, 2025, offering multiple opportunities to contribute to this creative and human adventure.
